If you have a Genz Benz 2x12 cab and you pair it with a Peavey JSX, what ohm setting do you have to select on the JSX (4, 8, 16 ohms)? I believe the Genz Benz cab is wired for 8 ohms, so should the JSX ohm setting be 8ohms as well?

I use to have the genz benz flex cabinet and it was 4 ohms mono and 8 ohms stereo.

Early GB flex cabs are 4 ohms mono and 8 stero.
Later ones have the 16 ohm mono option as well"Now remember, things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is. ":JOSEY WALES

Yes. Always match your amp and cabinet ohms.

And if you can't match it, then at least use a cabinet with sufficient load.
