Re: Help setting up a rack
Its a PA Rack. So I don't remember how I have everything chained. I do have a Midiverb 4 that I use as well but that runs throught the Effect Loop.
Tim are you sayig compressor first? I always thought it was compressor last.Damn, I love this Interweb.

Re: Help setting up a rack
in a PA rack, i would think a maximizer and and external EQ would be redundant. i would run mixer -> compressor -> EQ or maximizer. i say hit the compressor first because that will "normalize" your signal and even everything out. i would hit the EQ last to add back the frequencies that the compressor can squash.GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

Re: Help setting up a rack
I have to agree with Rupe. The sonic maximizer and an EQ are very different each has their own unique advantages. No matter how well I eq my rig the sonic maximizer adds that extra clarity and bottom end. I will try a few different ways and see what sounds best to me.Damn, I love this Interweb.
