I could get a similar tone with my old Fender Tonemaster head...it was a great amp but it had to be riduculously loud to do its thing.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Or in other words, the same as any MV Marshall head available for $800 on ebay.
Wait till you see the price tagger on this bad boy, being a VHT and all!

I thought the playing was pretty damn nice for being totally dry. Good feel.

The amp seems to have a very quick and hard attack.

                    just read their FAQ...

                    17) How can I get the "Brown Sound"?

Step 1) Die and re-incarnate as Eddie.
Step 2) Visit your local Peavey® dealer (must complete step one first).
Step 3) Whatever you do, suppress any impulse to be creative and original.

Nice playing...the amp isn't all that special to my ears, but...nice guitar playing! Tasty!

I am with you 100% Chuck. I played it @ NAMM and it was good but not impressive. The UL blew it away and when I got the UL I didn't really like it. To each his own though.

I guess VHT is trying to show that this amp sounds like a Fender. I'm not impressed with the tone or the playing.

Well, how about you'all post some of your superior tones and chops...because I thought the tone and the playing were pretty smoking myself. If I sounded that good, I would be happy.

Well... I played it at NAMM too and I thought it killed the Diezel in the neext booth and the any bogner that was there too.... For a one channel amp that is... The controls were very responsive. I guess if you like VHT's Pitbulls you will like this too. It had the Pitbull lead tone and crunch but was more defined. It ain't a nu metal tone amp. If you appreciate being able to hear all the notes in a chord ring out and a defined gain that does not mush everything together than I think this head is one you should look at. The VHT reps said that he thought it would be priced at around $1600... Lot of options out there for that kind of cash but my ears loved this head.

Hey Chris... do you think the sound sample that is online is intentionally dialed down? Why would a guy play blues stuff through a Les Paul? Obviously he had either the gain on the amp dialed down or the volume on the amp.
I don't know much about the amp but I do trust your ears.
How are they marketing it? Is the Deliverance name intended to reference blues?
