Anyone know anything about these Soldano designed heads? I've been looking at one on E-bay. Do they have any of the Soldano sound???

Thanks,
Ole Baldy

Some say they do, some say they don't. Hit or miss seems to be the bottom line.

That would be the "brown sound", right?

I have a T50 and I think it sounds nice. Doesn't really sound like a Soldano to me though.

I've had the T50 head and the T100 combo. Loved them both, but wish it had been the other way around... Yes, hit & miss from the sounds of it. Make sure you get to play it first. Don't expect it to be a poor man's SLO though. It's not.

I had a T50 with my SLO. It sounded good but it was not an SLO by a long shot. The reverb sucked. It actually added gain as you turned it up. My brother had a T100 that sounded better. The one he had sounded better but it had a choke mod added to it. With the mod it did sound more like the SLO but it lacked the tonal nuances that make the SLO so great. IF you were to buy one, Do the choke mod. It is 2 wires and about 30 bucks for the choke. Major tonal difference.
