    yeah John G , The Spyder IIs have a very decent clean tone..with reverbs and chorusing..it's purdy! [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

      My cleans on my 5150 sound good to me. But I do something different. I use the Lead channel for my cleans. What I do is use the Rhythm channel for all my gain (I boost with an sd-1 as needed), and dial the gain really low on the lead channel. Some of you may think "why the hell?", but since the Lead channel is darker than the Rhythm channel it makes the cleans bassier and smoother.

      Try this out before you spend money on another amp.
