So I could use something like a Behringer FCB1010 to control it?

        MIDI In Terminal
This permits SPX90 programs to be automatically selected via a MIDI signal.

          John,

Look into the Digitech TSR24 a very cool unit! Also the Lexicon LXP 15's are nice. I currently use an MPX 500 and a Roland RSP 550 for modulation and delays. I just picked up a Yamaha UD Stomp which just might make my rack obsolete. Oh and don't forget the classic Alesis Quadraverb, I have one as well!

              Re: Effects processor suggestions:

What about something like a GT8 since you are real handy with a GT6? The GT8 gives you the ability to customize the order of effects, including the fx loop. Throw your preamp (or hell, even a 5150) into the loop (input of amp to fx send on GT8, fx send on amp to GT8 return, GT8 mono out to fx return on amp), then your preamp can be placed anywhere in the chain. You can even use a modeler boost for a boost to the preamp, or set up a really clean patch where you bypass your amp's preamp and send your signal right into the poweramp - which gives you the flexibility to use the amp modeling on the GT8. Also the GT8 has a jack that will change channels on an amp or something else of that nature. Just something else to think about, and it would provide you the flexibilty of your GT6 in a portable package.

Why not? Mine works great. FYI, I've owned an intellifex and other multifx... the XTL sounds just as good imho.

Pete, do you just turn the preamps and the modeling off?

Yep. I mainly use chorus/reverb/delay, but also the boost for solos.
