  • My Latest Pedal Board and Amp Setup

Well I finally have together my pedal board
and Amp setup for bars and clubs
I may change the Amp Head to a B52 AT-100
Its a lot of amp for the price
But for not here's what I use:

    Efx: TU-2>NF-2>AMPS

    NF-2 EFX LOOP send>PW-10 Wah>PH-3 Phaser>X-Series MM Distortion>
    MT-2 Distortion>GE-7 EQ>NF-2 EFX LOOP return

Amp EFX Loop send>CE-5>DD-2>RV-5>Amp EFX Loop return

The photo shows the CE-5>DD-2>RV-5 as part of the chain
The Pedal Board can be configured this way as well

    10-2005 Pedal Board

    2003 Ibanez TB-100 and 1981 Marshall 1960A 4X12

    The Pedal Board uses:
    Planet Waves and ProCo Cables

    Guitar Cables
    Planet Waves

    Amp to Cabinet Cables
    Monster

For what we play this setup covers lots of sounds
I need an Amp with a super Clean Channel
So this is why I use the Ibanez Amp
In the future I may A/B the Ibanez with the B-52 or JCM 800

Also I tried this setup with my Marshall JCM 800
It sounded killer with the ODs but sucked for a Clean tone
    And no EFX Loop either

      30w if I remember
Yes it is 30w total 120w
All Original used and abused and still kicking butt
Even makes the Ibanez sound good

My 1974 1960A has the 25w. I think cream speaker rings
or cream backs if I got it correct
      Also the gold piping
      Small Marshall Logo too
      Its a classic

Yeah, I have a 1976 cab like that, mid size logo, and it has 25 watt "black" backs in it. Never saw those before this cab, so I was curious. thanks.

This is the 1974 1960A with the 25w black backs
it has the gold piping and smaller logo
The reason I still have the logos
I hated them back in the day, so I took them off
I found them years later in a box in my basement

          One thing about this cabinet
The grill has turned from a gray white
          to a kinda brownish color
I guess many years of dirty clubs and bars and normal wear
have given it a sorta mojo feel

I am a Boss pedal collector and I must say... your choice of Boss pedals is most excellent. You just need to get that DOD Metal Master out of there and replace it with either a Boss MT2 or a Boss HM3

                  BTW: I still have but don't use a BF-2 MIJ and a NF-1 MIJ
                  very early 80s

I got to try the Pedal Board today

You ought to get some Boss pedals.

I have 9 pedals on my board and all of them are different brands...variety is the spice of life.

cool board. no vol pedal? why run all the input thru the NF-2 loop? Is that a NF-2 or a NS-2 (noise suppressor)? sorry I have never been a pedal guy but got a few after I grabbed a JCM800 1959 and am building a pedal board with stomps.

My Bad it is a BOSS NS-2 not NF-2 but it could have been an NF-2 The 1st BOSS Noise Gate was called NF-1
And yes most of the pedals Wah Phaser ODs and EQ are all in the NS-2 EFX LOOP.
Leaving just the TU-2 Tuner and NS-2 Noise Gate to go striaght to the amp.
The CE-5 Chorus DD-2 Delay and RV-5 Reverb all go to the amps EFX LOOP this sounds killer so far

this is what it kinda looks like

                        Guitars>Tuner>Noise Gate>Amps

Noise Gate EFX LOOP> Wah Phaser, ODs EQ

AMP EFX LOOP> Chorus Delay and Reverb

                        Working...
