Need marshall amp help

I have done my research on 2203's, but I dont know pricing. How is this on a half stack? (its local)

its not an 81 I can tell ya that much...The heads with the verticle inputs bring in between 850-1100, just for the head.

The amp pictureed is either a re-issue head or 85 model or whenever they changed the vertical inputs to horizontal.

go check it out in person and see, the date will be inside chasis

That is one of the 83 or later 2303's, the one with one less capacitor. Now as to the price, latley the heads have been selling between 700 and 900 on ebay. Personaly i dont think it is that great of a deal, if it was around 1200 i would say jump.

My guess - Is it green tolex? I believe 86-87 there was a edition with the green tolex and the basket weave- I believe its just a standard JCM800 though as far as the internals-A buddy's guitar player around that era had one.

I had a nice 2203 ..Red Tolex with a dark brown cloth on the head..damn that bastid was LOUD!! [img]/images/graemlins/what.gif[/img]

I agree, basket weave on he head is butt ugly.
I once thought one I saw was a redo, but it appears Marshall did do that stock for a short time.
