  • matching an amp to room size

i want an amp by Crate - either a gtx65 or gt212. only thing is that the size of my room may have a profound effect on the sound. the room is something like 10ft by 35ft (i'm guessing - its thin-looking). i will only be playing at low volume and am concerned about the reverb generated by the thin walls. recommendations?

Thats a big room. Either amp is fine. If one is bigger than the other buy the bigger one.

i guessed the room size - its probably only 10ft x 20x. believe me, it looks tiny. a 212 would cost me £240 in the uk. if i then want a head for it, there's another £240-£280. i did consider a line6 spider II 30w amp but the EQ is w**k. tried a marshall vt150 - again, w**k EQ. i could get the 212 before xmas and get the head end jan 06.
