I don't own any Jackson guitars but all the ones I've ever played on I've instantly fallen in love with. I would like to own a King V or a Rhoads but I don't have the money to get one. I don't trust eBay so I was wondering if anyone knew any sites to look for Jacksons at a low price. I'm new to playing Jacksons so I don't know which models are good. Thanks for the help.

Re: Looking for a cheap V or Rhoads for Xmas
welcome to the board!
now maybe it's not clear, but this is the "amps and effects" section, so any question about cheap guitars sound like something that belongs in the Import section.
Regarding dealers, you can click the banner at the top of the page, and you will see a list of JCF dealers who are all very friendly and will surely cut you a great deal on a new guitar.
You also asked which models are good, this is pretty subjective to your preferences in tone, body style etc. as Jackson quality in general seems to be very high, in my opinion.
good luck,

You're really missing out by refusing to look at Ebay, thedre are many great deals there. Check the seller's feedback; it's not foolproof but if the seller has 100% or 99.8% positive feedback that's a good sign. READ his feedback record.
As far as models, yeah it's subjective. If you're going to shop locally than get one you like. Without knowing your budget, but you saying cheap, a Performer Series Rhoads used can be had for a coupld hundred and they aren't bad. Not the top of the heap but decent playing and sounding.
Good luck with your search and welcome to the JCF!

Re: Looking for a cheap V or Rhoads for Xmas
Oh yeah, try www.americanmusical.com for Jacksons new at good prices. If you have a Visa/Mastercard or debit Visa/MC they will let you make a 3-payment plan. For example you can get a JS30RR Rhoads for $299 and it's $99 a month for 3 months. If you're working and have a bank account with debit card it's painless. I bought a DK-2 that way. www.musiciansfriend.com is another place to look but you have to just make payments on your CC or get their own CC, otherwise it's cash up front for the purchase amount. The two will match each other's specials price wise too. Hope that helps.Ron is the MAN!!!!
