    Re: boss sd-1 question

"this pedal with old marshalls was the bay area thrash sound. "
i know, that's exactly why i bought it in the first place!
btw, i'm not sure whether i'd like your suggested settings or not (no offense bro, thank you anyways), as the 2210 can be VERY honky if the mids are past 1:00
i usually keep the bass around 14:00, mids around 10:30, treble around 11:00, presence off, gain and boost channel volume almost cranked, master around 11:00.

edit: ah, and btw, my tubescreamer is the "cheapo" TS7. believe it or not, to me it sounds great! i don't notice any reliability issues (flimsy switch is what i keep hearing) either. the tone lok thing is very nice...fire and forget. basically the point i'm trying to make is that my ts isn't a "high end" one's.

i'm just suggesting what to do to get your sounds back that have been eliminated by having the pedal in there.

I think the TS7 uses the same op-amp as the expensive TS models

          Re: boss sd-1 question

I just modded my SD-1 and it sounds much better than stock and is much more transparent. The kit was only $19 and it took about an hour to do.
