yeah i didn't like my basswood body (model 3 and fusion) with the 18v.

sounds good in poplar though. haven't tried it in alder and mohagany.

I used to swear by the 18 volt, but have one guitar with 9 volts and I sorta like it. Not as "brash" in a way.

I cant wait to try the EMG with 18v Im gona try to make a hidden switch under the guitar to make it easier to change between 18v and 9v since I only have 1 guitar.
