    Did I do good too???

    I just picked up an Ampeg Lee Jackson VL 2002. Traded a garbage Kramer and a Tube Works 9100 hybrid for it. Any opinions on the Ampeg? I feel like maybe its too much amp for me. 11 tubes seems excessive, I was looking for an 60/30 Genz Benz El Diablo but had no luck round town.

    They are an ok amp. They were only desinghed by Lee Jackson. Then Ampeg cheaped out on the building end of them. I had a few Lee Jackson heads and they are cool for what they are. Now that I look back I really wouldnt buy one again. Very noisey and thin tone imo. The m1000 I had was also just way to loud.

      I never heard of the 2002. Only the VL1002. Whats the difference? There is no info on the VL2002 online anywhere.
