  • Peavey Classic 50/50 Prob's

Got my peavey poweramp back from a service/retube last night, worked fine for the half hour i played through it last night. Came to it this morning, played for a few minutes, and then both the lights above the standby switches for the channels went off, and now i'm getting no sound and the standby switches seem to do nothing. Any ideas????

    Thanks in advance guys!

If it just came from a retube, I'd take it back before doing much. If fuses are blown, I'd be wondering. Fuses won't blow unless there is a reason.

i've had that happen before! turned out it was a short in the connection at the electric plug. went to Lowes bought an industrial plug. cut the wire a couple inches above the old plug. and spliced her in.

wiggle the plug at the wall while looking at the amp. like bend the cord right behind the plug and see if you can make it cut out. then you'll know.
