Okay, I bought it for my son to go with his electric guitar. Of course, I had to try it out. This thing is way too cool. Obviously it doesn't sound all that impressive, but it actually sounds okay considering how tiny it is. The cool thing is walking around the house jamming with my guitar, and an amplifier in my pocket!! Cool shit!!

LOL, I already did Tim. Hard to believe a 9 volt battery can power 4-12" Celestions.
It actually sounds pretty damn good!!

Re: Bought me a Smokey!!!
These have a lot in common with those boutique 1/2 watt amps in another thread too, I believe. got into it with a guy on H/C over them... I'd wager both use a 386 op amp or a derivitive. I built an amp like this back in the mid 80s - there was a radio shack 'op amp cookbook' with simple plans for an amp that was very smokeyesque. It's probably at my dad's house in my old room, have to see if I can dig it up sometime. It also has some 741 op amp circuits. *ugh*

Yeah they're great, I just wish it had a clean function - maybe a Zippo footswitch?
Somebody needs to update this idea - using a cel phone. I might have one available as a guinea pig if Tracfone doesn't get their act together I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
