Johnson Millenium / midi foot controller??

Does anybody know if there is a delay in channel switching on a Johnson JM 250H Millenium head if an aftermarket midi foot controller is used like a DMC Ground Control?
I have read online that if the Johnson J12 or the Digitech made Control One pedal is used there is no delay but using anything else there is. It has something to do with using the midi port as opposed to the factory footswitch jack.

I did try a Behringer midi control on a millenium combo and there was a lag. The J12 worked fine.

Dunno if it will help you or not, John, but there are plans online to make your own J3. The parts prolly cost as much as buying one, and a J3 is no J8 or J12, but I figure if anybody has the parts, it would be you.

I think Doo Wop shop in Frankfort Ky has several J8 controllers.IIRC around 75.00.

I don't think the J8 is compatible with the Milleniums is it? I thought that was only for the Marquis series.

J8 is compatable with the Millenium as well. I had all 3 controllers.

Thanks, I just sent them an email. I wouldn't mind trying a J8 for my J-Station.
