• best midi pedalboard for a new rack user

hey, recently new to the rack world (digitech 2120 is arriving soon) and i need to get a good midi pedal board. Im not looking for one that has a bajillion bells and whistles, just something where i can recall a couple of patches easilly. Where should i start lookin?

Thanks for any help.

How about the one made for that unit? Digitech Control One.

the tech 21 midi mouse is appealing to me, because it looks to be like a no-nonsense type of thing for recalling things.

The JMP-1 pedal board is similar because it has 4 buttons, but will it only work for the jmp-1?

Also, do i actually want a pedal board with alot of things (like the berigher)?

If it were me I would just get one of the big ones like the Behringer. It's not that big of a deal to have buttons you don't use, but it is annoying to need more buttons.

I would look for the Digitech Control One pedal mate-i recently purchased another 2120 as a backup and this time it came with the control one pedal!I now have a couple of banks of diferent tones to be selected easily by the floor pedal. It realy is so easy to store your gigging sounds in one bank and change them with the pedal. When you 1st play the preamp edit the noise gate straight away!the factory presets have gates so fierce they will kill your sustain-i had some help from a dude on this forum to fine tune them for loud level playing-my advice would be to change the gate setting to SILENCER 2 POST T@D,then make adjustments with this setting as its a better gate
have fun with the preamp, there killer

+1 for the behringer fcb1010. i use it with the jmp1 rack, and surely, i only use like 5% of the available patches, but it's cheap and bulletproof. the only downfall is the size, imho.

Go with a DMC ground control . Nice and simple, and they sell for a great price.

i am sorta leaning toward the beringher, because it is cheap, is there anything else in this price range?

thanks for the awesome help guys, i really appreciate it.

Again....Rocktron Midimate. It smokes the Behringer and is close in price.
Good deals with:
Metal Medal II, Tonyl11

it'll break..all three dudes John and I know broke theirs...yes they are "cheap"..in every sense of the word!

They look cool and have alot of features for the money which is enticing...but I wouldn't buy one!

I'm getting an old ART midi switcher from a friend of Cleve John's..bare bones..but at least it's reliable..it's prolly 15 years old already but I will prolly get another 15 years out of it.
