I think for many people that is the best thing about the G-Major. That is the main reason I bought mine.

i'll use my midi mate with it. will proboably order one here soon. i had a g-force and didn't really care a lot for it. was way more than needed.

A big +1 to basically what everyone else has said. Great for live use, great for studio use, just great period.
