recomend me an FX proccessor for my 5150 II

looking for a floor mount FX processor for my 5150 II (6505+ if you wanna be picky)

looking to use it mainly for chorus, reverb, delay, stuff like that

how are the boss gt6's and gt8's??

You can't go wrong with a T.C. G-Major or even a Rocktron Xpression is a very good unit for the money.

yeah i kinda got that gist, was taking a shot in the dark

say if i was to get a G-major, is there a midi foot controller i could use with it? midi is kinda new to me..........

I personally like the Rocktron MidiMate. There are many others... I'm sure other will chime in with visions of Behringers, hehe...

I've got a GT8 and love it, and the amp and od/distortion pedal modeling can be turned off to use it just for effects, but then it's kinda overkill for your needs if you just want to use it in your amp's effects loop if you're just using your amp's regular sound.

I use the ART X15 as well and it works great. Plenty off switches for the effects and two expression pedals that I use for pitch and volume.

You can get them cheap on ebay they usually go for about $100, but I have seen them go for as little as $70. I paid $73 shipped with manual.

yeah the GT8 would be overkill considering i already have a V-amp pro

g-major seems to get alot of respect around here, as do 5150's

i'd have to say the X-15 too i use them with my 2120's and they work great.

How 'bout POD Rackmountable versions? I think I'll be getting a 5150 soon also, so I was thinking I could use it for the cleans, effects, and also it's good for recording on the computer right? I'm interested cuz In flames uses the same set-up.

nah as i said i already have a v-amp, i dont think would "waste" my 5150 like that (by using it as a power amp)

How does the Vamp Pro sound? I'm thinking of getting one to add to my rack for something different. Currenly have TubeFex & Classic 50/50.
