I am not digging it.
I used a Vetta HD and a Mesa 1/2 back 4 x 12 cab with the Line 6 Longboard.
How was my rhythm tone? Excellent
How was my clean tone? Excellent
How was my lead tone? Uninspiring, lifeless, synthetic and boring BUT THATS NOT THE BAD PART.
THE DELAY IN THE CHANNEL SWITCHING SUCKS ASS. The fact that the effects don't spill over SUCKS ASS. When I am playing Dokken and Ratt songs I am constantly switching from rhythm to lead throughout the song. I can't have a delay in channel switching and no effect spillover. It sucks to hear the delay just suddenly stop and a few milliseconds of silence between my solo and my rhythm channels. My Boss GT6 has absolutely NO delay in patch switching.
Here is what I think I am doing wrong. I am setting up 2 identical patches for my rhythm and lead channels. The only difference is that I boost the volume and add a little delay and midrange to the solo channel. The problem is there is a delay when switching channels.
I went to the Vettaville website and they told me I should use the stomp box buttons for solo boost. I should assign a boost pedal to one of the stomp box buttons and use it for solo boost.
I'll try it but I gotta tell you. I really didn't dig playing the Vetta live. It just wasn't fun like my Soldano is. The solo tone was thin compared to the rhythm tone.
The other problem with the Vetta is you really need to set up your patches at the level you will be gigging at. Thats a pain in the ass because I am not quite sure what my live volume will be.
HERE IS THE QUESTION I NEED TO ASK to the Vetta users here.
How do you guys get past the channel switching delay live?
