There is one thing I have found to be true regarding any Rectifier I have ever owned. They always sounded the best straight with nothing in the effects loop and nothing in front of the amp that wasn't true bypass. I do have several buds who use pedal boards with their Rectifiers but they all agree that if they didn't need specific effects they wouldn't have anything in the loop.
