Idea with ENGL 530 preamp + combo cab...

A friend of mine would be interested in buying the guts from the Laney AOR30 I have. And since I'd need a new amp, I was thinking I could go for a E530 preamp by ENGL, and put it in the cab I'll already have! I'll use the speaker from the Laney (Celestion G12 L35) and well, the ENGL has a 1.5W power amp. I wouldn't need more really.

Seems like a doable thing to do?
