I was wondering if anyone has heard speaker cabs with Celestion vintage 60's in them and could tell me how they sound compared to cabs with vintage 30's. I have heard a number of cabs with v 30's, but not with v60's. I have seen the technical specs on the celestion site but want someone's imput as to how the speakers sound. Do they sound quite simular or do they sound drastically different?

Re: Celestion V30\'s vs V60\'s
which other speaker are you referring too? Basically a V30 is a 60 watt speaker, however there is the 70th aniversery speaker that is 30 watts, so it gets very confusing in the long run. And then to make it more confusing they make V30's for Mesa that are rated at 70 watts, and i believe they also do it for marshall too.
I am thinking you are confusing the speakers, but not sure as i have never heard of a V60
Here from celestion website.

There's a V12-60. Is that what you're talking about? http://professional.celestion.com/gu...tail.asp?ID=10I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
