Agreed on the JJ's. Rubys are probably ok, but not worth going out of your way to find. GE's are worth going out of your way to find!

I love the JJ tubes, but the new rubys are also really great. I am very tempted to try thr EL34. My friend is using them and says they sound great.

aren't the ruby's selected JJ's re-stamped.I had ruby's in my voodoo mod dsl 100.and swear Anthony of voodoo said that that's what they are.not 100% sure on that though that was last year.I believe you can get the ruby's from musicians frien and music 123 also

Nope. Rubys are made in China, JJ's are made in the Slovak Republic. They sound very different.

Ruby sells tube made by JJ and others too, but the majority of what they sell are Chinese. I think they have the descriptions on the Ruby site.
