I'm looking for a amp to play some pantera sounding metal through but don't want a mesa boogie with all the knobs on it, but then someone told me this amp with that speaker combo sounds good.

Buy a Randall RG100 if you want the dimebag tone. You could buy one of those and *two* used marshall 4x12s and still have money left over vs buying the krankenstein head.

I'm not sure, but if he was thinking of buying the whole Krankenstein 1/2 stack, then he could afford a little more than an Rg100, and no I admit, for the price that amp isn't bad. Just that he could get like maybe some other if he was looking into spending that much money.

you will not get Dimes tone using the Krank alone.I agree buy a randall and buy some fx's at half the price.
