I just got a GC sale-thingy in the mail today and they have this for $169!! I really want to start recording myself and have been considering a Line6 UX1, Guitarport w/rifftracker, or even a 4-track tape recorder like the Tascam Sully is selling. But with this I could sell me Korg AX1500G since this is an effects unit and recorder. Anyone here have one or tried one and has some input? It's a hell of deal!

Re: Boss GS-10?
Ah yes, I'm with you now. Here is something recorded with the GS-10 into a Boss BR1600.

Take it for what it's worth. I really like my GS-10. Very easy to use and tweak. They have software for it but I find I rarely use it for patches or anything.http://www.jacknapalm.com/

Re: Boss GS-10?
Yep, that was recorded with the digital out into the digitial in on the BR1600. I had used the digital in on my pc at one point and recorded using Sonar. Sound quality was just as good.
The GS-10 is a great tool. For that price as well I am not sure you can go too wrong. The only thing it lacks is a pedal board. I have an ART X-15 hooked up to it as well as as Keyboard. When I play back tracks on the keyboard it changes my patches automatically.http://www.jacknapalm.com/

Re: Boss GS-10?
I just got one the other day. I've been messing around with it the last couple of nights and am really digging it. It has some really nice features....especially for $169. I had the Pod and Pod Pro and much prefer the GS10.Good deals with:
Metal Medal II, Tonyl11

Re: Boss GS-10?
I have to go get me one of these!!!
Did you hear the Friedman, Lynch and Malmsteen downloadable patches???
Crap, the Malmsteen is dead on.
Its really hard to nail down the Malmsteen lead tone.
For $169.00 its a no brainer.
I am now going to smash my head against the wall. See ya.

Re: Boss GS-10?
Yeah, those patches are pretty slick. I was hoping we would see more artist patches for the unit. It has a small following and is well liked by the people that have it. It just doesn't have the appeal of the GT series or the POD's for some reason. It's basically a beefed up GT6 I thought.http://www.jacknapalm.com/
