Re: THD Univalve Owners???

My bad... the pic I saw was actually of the 2 input jacks. It looked like a 2 button footswitch to me.
I'll never own one. The Spitfire is just too darn expensive. $1800.00+ for a 1 x 12 combo with 3 knobs on it is too much for me to ever spend.

That's why I built mine. I dig the 18 watt marshall more though - it's more my style, but both amps have more in common with each other than with the THD stuff, imho. Ya know, one of the channels of an 18 watt Marshall can be tweaked to be pretty close to the spitfire... you'd lose the master, but I never really understood why the spitfire had a master anyways, it's not a preamp/gainy amp by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't own a Uni but, I do have a Flexi. I bought it because it had more knobs than the uni and bi Glad it sounded good when I got it Here are a couple of clips:

MI Audio Blues Pro Pedal Tryout

Boosted with a Bad Monkey

The 1st clip is of the amp setup ONE way. All variations in tone were done with the volume knob, pickup selector switch, & the MI Audio pedal.

The 2nd clip was a mostly one take (overdubbed the harmonies) improv using a Bad Monkey pedal throughout.
