All and all since we have gone back and forth on amps how does this compare to say your recto and your uber which you loved at one time?

LOL, I still like the Mesa Rectifier, The Bogner Uber was okay but not worth the money I paid for it. At 42 I'm still partial to the Marshall sound and the Splawn nails the sound I was after and gives me more, It's a hotrod Brown Sound. It cuts through a mix like no other. The Mesa's & Bogners have there place, but not for me or my gig. The new QR has a great dynamic response. It sounds way better than the older Splawns I've owned. Too me the sound nails early VH and also Lynch's sound on back for the attack. (That's my type of sound) [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Hey Zeeg, I wouldn't be as concerned about the amp color as I would the construction materials. Remember, a plywood amp is always going to sound cheap compared to a good solid tone wood. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
