Is that like a sonic maximizer in pedal form? Are they any good? -there's one for cheap at a pawn shop near me, but I've been collecting too many pedals lately.

I have one. Bought it new in the mid 80's. I really liked it with my old carvin x100b 1/2 stack.

I'll hook it up to my current amps and give it a whirl.
