  • Help! Difference between BBE 422 and 422A?

I recall being told that the 422 was the best BBE for guitar rigs. What was the difference between that and the 422A.

    Thanks!

Found the answer to my own question....

"There are two modes - 'Auto' mode provides dynamic response so that the 422A expands or compresses the high band in relation to the mid, while in 'Manual' a factory preset expansion ratio is applied"

This feature was avaliable only on the 422A version.

you'll never use "auto" anyway, it kind of fucks up your sound if you're not playing hard 100% of the time

Yes, this is correct..no sonic diference whatsoever..had both..sounds and looks ientical.

Except I had to get side mount rack ears for my 422..
