Just picked up a Duece for $845 at GC - part of the President's Day Sale.

Be sure to play the hell out of 'em first with lots of channel switching. I was about to buy the first one I tried when I discovered it had the 'switch to channel 2 and your gain goes away' problem. The second one worked just fine.

Brand new? What the hell? Is the world coming to an end? They sell on eBay used for $1000 and I thought that was a good deal. I was at GC today and they didn't have any new Boogies.

Probaly Per Boogies request they are probaly blowing them out in order to make room for Version 2. Either that or his particular GC no longer can carry them and they are getting rid of there inventory.

It was exactly what I was hoping it would be. I haven't set it up here at home yet - gotta make a hole in the studio for it, drag out the old Marshall 4x12 and the rack, and proceed to kill my neighbors lawns...

It's everything my Mk III isn't. Now I have my tones covered - no more modelers.

I bought my Mk III in '87, and it covered me for two decades. I wonder what Mesa I'll buy in 2026...

good points. Aside from supposedly more gain, what does the version 2 have over the original? Mine has plenty of gain for me.

Both the Deuce (50/100) and Trident (50/150) - Trident is about $50 more.

Gain-wise, think modded-Marshall with Mesa balls. If yer lookin' for the super-saturated KT88/6L6 tone - this aint it.

We're blowing them out because GC is no longer going to carry them anymore, they're only carrying the new ones when they ship out. Deuce's are $849 and Tridents are $899. A really swell deal if you ask me.

Hell yeah it's a good deal, I think they sell for more. I may have to look into buying one, then eBaying it. There's a guitar center like 2 hours from here, so I may have to go.

Not all GC's carry them. The one in Orange CT never has any new amps except Marshall and B-52's.

That is a screaming deal.

I was just at my GC and they have them but not discounted yet, they are still charging full price.
