    Don't know if anybody is interested in something like this. I just finished my newest recording toy and thought i share two pics of the unit. It's a dual mono/stereo switchable opto-based compressor. Those boards have an option to use discrete opamps or ic's. This version uses NE5534 at the in and output stages and OPA2604 at the sidechain. I also have two other boards which are assembled with Melcor 1731 discrete opamps (also selfbuild) but i still need to test those two boards and buying a case.

    Anyway here are the pics.

    Oh almost forgotten. I finished up the Soldano SLO100 preamp but still got some problems in the lead and clean channel so no soundclips until i find those mistakes. Rhythm channel seems to work ok.

    GEAR:

    some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

    some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

    and finally....

    i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!
