Any Line 6 Spider experts out there?

Can someone tell me the difference between the older red faced Line 6 Spiders and the newer black faced ones?

I think that the new one will perform three FX at once while the older ones only two no?

Anything else that I am missing?

That's part of it - along with reverb. The effects are different as are the amp models. I had the old Spider (2x10) and liked it alot, but it was no Flextone. The new one isn't either. If you can afford a Flextone (even the II), buy that.

The spider 2 series (black face ) is much better then the 1st series. I have the line6 spider 2 75 watter and its a little monster.

I just bought the Spider II 112. This is the 50 watt with a single 12" speaker combo if I am correct. Bought new for $278.95

I used to have the 212 - decent amp with good diversity!

Congrats, but I believe it is actually a 75W amp. I'm considering one of these myself and am curious of your review of it.
