Very interesting...I haven't heard of that before. You'll definitely have to let us know how it sounds. Are they mostly for general listening, or for micing applications?

As you can tell by the pic I play in a small room.
The "Beam Blockers" seem to do just fine.
I used to get point-source high frequencies beaming directly out of the 2x12 cabinet when sitting/standing in front. I had to move to the side a little to even it out.
Now, with the Blockers installed I can sit or stand and get pretty much the same sound no matter where I sit or stand.
I don't know what it would sound like in a big open area,
but for me I think they will do.
So if you got the cash or time to try these, give it a go.
I got a Roland Cube 30 below the T.V. I might put one on also.

That's really cool...I've noticed that, standing in front of my 4x12 in my basement. I assume it would help with micing, too, so you're not getting a lot of highs going right into the mic. Maybe I'll invest in some.

i see this as bad for close micing and good for room miking.
initial thoughts, you never know till ya try.

Yeah if I were using them on a 4x12 I might leave it off one cone for close micing purposes.

well... i'd try em first and mic from every possible position and compare the same positions without the beam blockers.

I've got that same problem with my 2x12... I like the idea of only putting this on one speaker. Although, most clubs I play at do not mike the amps.
