Where to place an EQ

Hey Folks,
In running a pedalboard/stompbox setup, where should you place an EQ pedal? At the beginning of the chain, right after the guitar, or at the end, right before plugging into the amp?

I put mine right before the effects return if you are going in the loop or right before plugging into the amp if its out in front.
