so i bought a crappy little fender frontman 15 awhile back. why? i do not know....well, i was obviously LESS than thrilled about the "tone" of it compared to all my big amps. so i was thinking of a way to get it to NOT suck, and i bought a new speaker for it.
not just any little 8" speaker....but a vintage JBL with a HUGE magnet!!! the magnet is almost the size of the cone!!!! the speaker weighs more than the WHOLE amp used ot weigh....
the funny thing? it made the solid state frontman 15 RIP IT UP!!!!! it has all the midrange-y girth that my riveras have!!!! it is funny hoe a speaker changes everything.
