My next amp...

We just got an Ampeg VT4 with the Billy Zoom mod in my shop. HEAVY!! I WANT IT!!

I'm familiar with the V4, but not the VT4 or the Billy Zoom mod. Can you 'splain it to me, please?

I'm guessing Ace means the V4? (there are ampeg VTs too, those are the combo versions: VT-22 = combo V4; VT-40 = combo V2) (V2 = 2 power tube version of the V4)

In any case, those amps are awesome! Just _muscley_ sounding!

Billy Zoom from "X" does amp work....

He apparently mod's Mike Ness's Bassmans - he of Social Distortion fame. Also did some work on the Marshall used by the other Social D guiter player....
