John, run dont walk, and upgrade that Vetta.

They seem to have taken all that harshness out of the high gain stuff. The Dumble sounds incredible!

The first time I did this, I just upgraded and was less than impressed. Then I did the full install with all the new patches, and I now truly believe it just simply doesnt get better than this.

Cant wait for the editor to come out, but other than that, this is pure perfection. I dont know what they did to the high gains, but it worked.

    Unreal.

Shawn, when you upgraded did you lose all of your presets? Here is my concern.
If I do a full install I will lose all of my custom patches and because the new Line 6 Editor hasn't been released yet and the current editor won't work with version 2.5 I won't be able to reload my custom patches until its released. Am I correct or way the fukk off base? I really want to upgrade. I heard the new Marshall patch is incredible.

Well, sure you lose your presets on the head, but you can just save it to a folder and upload them later.

Funny thing is, I would have normally been thinking the same thing, because I really like messing around with all the different patches out there, but mostly I was doing it to find a high gain that just sounded perfect. Now, you can get that real easily. Just sounds more full and round. The loudness makes an enormous difference to a guy like me, messing around at home.

I am a very happy camper. And yeah, the J-2000 is very cool. The Orange sounds great too. Just a real winner all around. I play mine through my 4x12 Marshall with 25w Greenbacks. Sounds so warm and natural.

The delay you got is simply that you have to re-save your patches.. the upgrade automatically puts all of them into edit mode .. once you save them the delay goes away...

Any thoughts on the new Wahs? Loudness button etc ..
