).I have an older Shure rack mount unit that was probably around $300.00 back around 10 years ago. It works great with no dropout at all and it doesn't mess with my signal to my ears.
I have had several Electar items. I still have an Electar SM58 clone that works fanstastic. As a matter of fact, every time we gig and I bring it, I get a comment from the sound guy that it sounds good. I even had a sound guy once ask me if I brought it to a gig because he remembered how good it sounded for vocals. I paid around $40.00 for itbrand new including shipping, a nice leather case and a mic clip. If I recall I got it from Musicyo with a discount coupon.
