Mesa 50/50 power amp

I'm starting to not like the tone i'm getting from my current set up.

ADA MP-1
Peavey Classic 50/50

The tone is a bit too fizzy for me even after i changed the pre amp tubes to much nicer ones. Although the tone is a little better with the new tubes, it's still not quite what i want.

So i was wondering how the Mesa 50/50 power amp sounds compared to other units?

I am actually thinking of getting rid of it. i've come to the conclusion that the mesa mark iv is the amp for me. Especially after the sound i got from the mark iv i used on my bands last recording

The fizz most likely isn't coming from the power amp. Its coming from the MP-1. Switching to a Mesa 50/50 most likely won't give you what you want. I suggest looking into another preamp. Maybe the Mesa Quad or even the Carvin Quad X.
