Someone local is selling a Rocktron Multi-Valve for $300, and I'm considering picking it up for my recording rig. Right now I have an ART Tube Channel parametric EQ/compressor/mic pre and a Rocktron Guitar Silencer. I don't use most of the Tube Channel's capabilities, and the Guitar Silencer is great...but it's one more rack space I could potentially free up. The Multi-Valve has built-in HUSH, compression, parametric EQ, and of course effects. My question for anyone experienced with this unit is whether the HUSH is on par with the dedicated versions, and if the HUSH and EQ can be adjusted independently of the digital effects. Also, is $300 a reasonable price?
