I owned one years ago. Awesome cleans, has reverb. Lead channel is ok - it's based on a Mark II series. Won't really do metal without a boost in front of it, and the EQ isn't centered well for good scooping of the mids. You'll probably want to run it with an EQ in the loop for heavier stuff, but even then it is not a modern sounding amp.

Doesn't matter if it's a C or not - the preamp is only half the sound of an amp. Your power amp will make a huge difference too - this is *not* the way to get IIC+ tone cheap.

They aren't midi capable either.
