  • Mesa V-Twin

Any one own, or try a Mesa V-twin in the rack version? I've tried the pedal version, but not the rack version. Is there any difference?
    I love admins!

i had the rack version. it was cool but wasnt for me, didnt sound all that great. i havent tried the pedal version so i cant compare. I tried a few different preamp tubes just to try & it did make a difference but it just never sounded like a true tube preamp.

yeah its basically a pre-amp in a pedal. you can also run it direct into a mixing board. its really really cool, I liked it alot. lots of versatility and a killer looking pedal!

Yeah. There are three output sockets on the floor pedal V-Twin:

                To Mixer/Headphones
                To Power Amp
                To Guitar Amp

There's a rocker switch around the side that lets you select whether output jack #1 is feeding headphones or mixer. That output is speaker cab emulated as well, so it can be used for direct recording.

A very cool pedal that is now unfortunately discontinued.

that's pretty badass, I have a DR but tha thing would ROCK for late night jamming w/ headphones.

THat's all I would need right, is a set of headphones?
