  • what does a T-Wah do?

I've seen it in numerous pedalboards....just curious what exactly a T-Wah does? A filter of some sort?

It stands for "touch-wah"...an envelope follower of sorts...

Its a sharp wah/envelope filter that "heels" and "toes" according to your pick attack. You can vary the sweep and the sensitivity. Very cool effect. Especially for the player who wants a wah but doesn't want to stand around in one place.

I have one in my AX1500G. It's great fun for playing with dynamics too. You get a real boxy, "closed" sound when you pick quietly, and the sound opens up as your picking intensifies. Or you can make a single note really pop out of a lick by hitting that one note harder.
