how does your lead tone differ from your rhythm tone?

lead more mid-highs, rhythm tons of bass & highs usually done with a second distortion pedal for the mid-highs

When playing through my 50 watt Marshall I set the lead tone and then just back off on my volume control for rhythm. Through my Fuchs I do about the same except the clean channel I set for a loud clean leads the 2nd channel is set for very sustaining singing sound.With the use of my volume control I can get a wide spectrum of different sound from either amp.

I mostly hit the Boss DS-1, and depending on the song, maybe a slight amount of delay. Normally just the DS-1, though.
