V3 is way overkill for my purpose. In fact the Mark IV is too much but at least Mesa offers a wide variation in cab and grill designs. I've heard Carr will too.

The Crate Palamino V32 (1X12 combo) is a cool amp and only about $500 new.

I tried out a Nomad a while back... also a cool amp.

the Mark IV is where it is at. if money isn't an object, get a sweet one with an imbuya wood cab and a wicker grill. the mark IV has SO many options. half power, pentode, triode, simulcalss, 6L6 and EL34 or just 6L6, 3 channels, assignable effects loops, killer tone.....

        MAN i miss mine........

it sounds SO killer at reasonable volumes too. i used mine with different speakers. it sounded good with everything, c90's, EVM, JBL, v30's, 75's.....

get it!!!!! it will fit the bill. there isn't much that the boutique builders offer that will really offer as much....unless you want a specialty amp.
        GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

        and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

A good preamp into a smaller poweramp. Versatility in both sound and usage (bigger poweramp and you can gig as well).
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.
