        Well it is a Lee Jackson modified which Lee seemed to use a lot of back then .. I never liked the 6550s

          See and I love my JCM800 2204 with 6550's in it, gives you more bottem end and there is still plenty of mid's.

                I belive Jimi used 6550's because of the single coils, they do have more bass. If anything, most 800's have tons of bass! I like el34's because of the mids they produce. I still have to turn down my bass!
