  • Little help here guys

So tomorrow is finally the day, gonna get the amp I've been dreaming and GASing about for years now: a Mesa Boogie Quad Preamp (Mark IIC and Mark III preamps in one big rack unit).

However, acquiring a poweramp (gonna go with a Mesa 50/50) will take longer. Needless to say, in the upcoming weeks, in which I'll be frantically looking for the 50/50, I'll want to try this thing out. I'll go to some friends and run in through their amps, but i have a question:

Could I run this preamp through a normal Stereo HI/FI system? Or would that blow something up...The guy I'm buying it off runs it straight into the PA, so I'd think a Stereo could work too, unless the preamp is too powerful or anything of the likes.

And if so, how exactly would I go about doing this?
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

A hifi amp is more or less the same as a guitar power amp you should have no problems

+1 what he said, just put all the controls on zero for bass, treble and middle.

It will sound like crap if you use hifi speakers.
