This amp is getting great reviews on harmony central and the seymour duncan board. Anybody here play one?

I've not played a Quickrod, but heard some great clips of 'em.

The other guitarist in my roommate's band has a Splawn Promod (older version) and it is awesome. Sounds excellent.

I want to know if it sounds like a hot rodded marshall and can it get into modern sounding bass heavy tones like mesa or engl. Also what speakers sound good with it.Thanks

Hod Rodded Marshall sounding (the GREAT kind)... don't think modern nu-metal type sounds are in there though. I personally don't think the stock X pattern of Eminence speakers used in the matching cab do the amp justice.

I had 2 of them and they are fantastic amps. Yes they have a hot rodded marshall sound, Plexi, & JCM 800 sounds. The clean channel is very useable but will not give you that clean Fender Twin type of sound. The only reason I sold mine was because I needed better clean sounds and newer type of dirty sounds.
