I want a pedal that you use to cut your signal to stop hum/noise/feedback during pauses in songs and stuff, but instead of using like a tuner pedal where I have to press it once to cut my signal and hit it again to bring it back, I want something where it only cuts the signal while I'm holding the pedal down...I think it would be a pretty easy pedal to build, it sounds simple to me, but I don't know what the hell I'm doing so I would have to get someone else to do it for me...does anyone know of a pedal like this or does anyone here build/know anyone who builds pedals who I might be able to hire to build something like this for me? I know a volume pedal would sort of do the trick, but I want something abrupt without fading in/out...

i also have one of those planet waves cables....the switching indeed is noiseless, but the cable is unreliable as hell. it was my main cable during a 3 week tour, and after 2 weeks it was broken....nono.
planet waves stuff in general is nice, though. nowadays i'm using regular PW cables and never had a problem.
